The Darroch Family is one of the earliest boat building families in NZ. The family owns two establishments related to boating merchandise, Akron Boat Trailers and Akron Inflatable Boats.
If you covet a Boat Trailer, Akron has an extensive array of trailers for purchase. Trailer prices commence at around $1450 with the most pricey trailer around $3650 (2011). The trailers range from three to 6 metres in length and are all galvanised, inclusive of galvanised wheels, galvanised springs, etc.
One variety of trailer sold by the establishment is the YTR – 330, the Small Boat Trailer.
